Support
TerraMesh is a field notebook for iPhone, now in testing. Write to hello@terramesh.earth with anything below that doesn't answer your question.
Getting in
- The app says I'm waiting for approval. A person reads each request. Send us the request id the app shows, and pull down on that screen to refresh once you hear back.
- The app asks me to sign in to iCloud. The approval list is kept in iCloud. Sign in under iOS Settings and open TerraMesh again. Your surveys are not stored in iCloud.
- I have no signal in the field. Recording, naming and measuring all work offline. An approved phone keeps working for 14 days before it needs to check in.
Your data
- Delete a survey. Delete it in the app. If you shared it, delete its web page from the survey's sharing screen too.
- Delete your account. Use the delete item in the app's profile, or write to us. That removes your approval record and everything you uploaded. Surveys on your phone stay until you delete them, and copies you already sent to other people are out of our reach.
- Something private got shared. Take the page down in the app and tell us which page it was. We'll check that it's gone.
Names and measurements
- A species name looks wrong. It may be. The phone only suggests names, and people decide. Fix it in Review in the app, or let other volunteers weigh in.
- A measurement looks off. Each measurement shows its uncertainty. Check that first, and use the printed cubes in the scene when you need millimeters.
Reporting a problem
Tell us the app version (the last line of the About sheet), your iPhone model, the iOS version and what you were doing. Please don't send photos of people or of sensitive places unless they're needed to show the problem. For a privacy or security problem, say so in the subject line and keep the details private until we've looked at it.
Safety
TerraMesh is not a navigation or emergency tool. It can't tell you whether something is safe to touch or eat, and it doesn't replace a permit or local rules. Watch the tide and the swell, and stay off unstable cliffs.
